KC’s Fresh Cut Flower business began the summer of 2022 in Laporte, CO.  The Bodes decided to start growing flowers upon the purchase of a homestead that they were renovating.  The property also already had a 1910 greenhouse which was part of the motivation.  One once said “if you have land, never let it go!”  So we ran with it.  KC’s Fresh Cut Flower Farm is run on regenerative and sustainable gardening of primarily specialty fresh cut flowers including Dahlias, Lisianthus, Ranunculus, Cosmos, Gomphrena, all the glory of a variety of Zinnias and much more! We enjoy retail sales at local farmers markets, opened a home flower stand in 2024, wholesale to florists and we offer seasonal CSA flower subscriptions.  One life, get dirty, embrace the earth and ALWAYS stop to smell the flowers. “It’s like holding sunshine!”
